Spider MD named as Small Business Director of the Year

Ipswich-based Managing Director Michelle Pollard has recently been named Small Business Director of the Year, at the East of England Institute of Directors Awards. The awards that celebrate excellence among business leaders were held on Friday 15^th June, at The Jockey Club Rooms in Newmarket.

Michelle Pollard, MD of Spider. Fixed Fee Web Recruitment, was one of several business leaders to receive an award on the day. The award categories included New Director of the Year, Start-Up Director of the Year, Family Business Director of the Year, SME Director of the Year and more.

The award winners included local business leaders such as, Tania Robertson MD Ufford Park Woodbridge, Laura Morrison MD Your Telemarketing Bury St Edmunds, and Doug Field joint CEO Co-Op Ipswich.

The afternoon also featured speeches from David Sales, Regional Chairman IoD East of England, Simone Robison, Head of Regional Relationships IoD East of England and Stephen Martin, Director General IoD, followed by a fantastic lunch prepared by the venue.

Michelle says, “I am overjoyed to have been selected as the winner for such a prestigious award, proving that Spider and our innovative, disruptive recruitment model does have legs.”
