We’ve noticed that the 2019 Suffolk Business Awards are coming up and as winners of the 2018 Suffolk Business Small Business Award and being selected as 3rd place business overall, it got us thinking about how far we’ve come in this last “nearly” year.
2018 was a great year for us as far as awards went with Michelle being named the Institute of Director’s East of England Director of the Year – SME, and Spider named as a Future50 company. It’s been a real whirlwind at Spider, the PR we received from winning these prestigious awards has been amazing and really strengthened our brand in the region and beyond. This has enabled us to market our business to other counties and we are now working with companies across the UK. Spider is certainly going from strength to strength and things show no sign of slowing down.
The last 12 months have seen our Online Job Advertising team win several long-term national contracts, but we’ve also been contacted by numerous companies asking about a traditional recruitment service. This has resulted in a Recruitment Consultancy Division being created at Spider. We’re still offering our low-cost Online Job Advertising, where you can get your job advertised on a minimum of 7 of the premier job boards from just £395, but to compliment this, we now have a team of Specialist Recruiters with an extensive knowledge of the recruitment industry, as well as many years’ experience supporting the needs of companies across all sectors and at all levels. Current specialities in this division include Financial Services, Construction, Engineering and Commercial & Professional. By the end of 2019, we hope to have doubled the size of the Recruitment Division, adding more areas of speciality and increased the size of our support team too.
So, all in all, it’s been a great year for us here at Spider as multi award winners and we hope the winners of this years’ awards enjoy every second and the runners-up feel encouraged to keep being wonderful. The East of England is a hot bed of brilliant entrepreneurs and we really feel privileged to have been selected as one of the best. It is time to hang up our award-winning shoes for a while though, as we focus on achieving the next set of goals, and the Medium Sized Business Award…. we’ve got our eye on you.
