Holly’s guilty pleasure is Westlife after a few years of spending most of her money on their tours. She also love aeroplanes but hate flying! Perfect day would be a pub garden overlooking a runway (with Westlife?)
Michelle Pollard wins Institute of Directors East of England, SME Director of the Year award and is finalist in the Institute of Directors, Director of the Year awards.

Spider in the Community
We are proud to publicly display our commitment to being a socially responsible business, believing it is crucial to make an impact and a difference in our local community. As an organisation, we aim to support Suffolk good causes, whilst working to nurture and inspire our local economic scene.
Our MD Michelle Pollard has taken up the reins of Chair for the Suffolk Skills and Careers Festival. The Festival takes place at Trinity Park each October, offering the chance for young people to find out about the range of careers, opportunities and support available to them. Colleges and employers from across the region attend, allowing attendees to ‘try on for size’ different careers, speak to those in apprenticeships and take part in activities and employer set challenges.
Michelle says. “The Festival is so important to educate and inspire our young people. I would like to encourage all businesses in the county to get involved with the event.”
Michelle Pollard is on the Board of the Suffolk Business Women which has been part of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce since 2010. Over the last eight years, because of the investment in time and expertise from Suffolk Chamber, it has increased its membership from a few dozen to over 1500 women and men. Suffolk Business Women is a key part of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce. It exists to facilitate the contributions of women in business and wider public life to the economic and social prosperity of the county.
As such it focusses it attentions upon one of the three key themes identified in the broader Suffolk chamber manifesto: giving businesses the tools to do the job.
Suffolk Chamber in Greater Ipswich is a local branch of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce of which Michelle is proud to be a member of the board. As a grassroots organisation, it both contributes to campaigns that benefit the whole of the county’s business community and also seeks to deliver improvements that are specific to this area.
Michelle is an Ambassador of Invest in Suffolk, a concept to promote Suffolk as the bright choice for business.
Natalie Sexton, our Business Development Executive completed her first half marathon in Norwich in 02:01:43 raising much needed funds for East Anglian Air Ambulance Charity.
Michelle Pollard, our Managing Director completed her first half marathon raising money for Woolverstone Wish
Our Marketing Manager, Zoe Blowers volunteers her spare time as Governor at Britannia Primary School in Ipswich. Zoe says she finds the role very rewarding and has found that her skills gained in the business world have been transferrable and hopefully useful to the school.
Here's what some of our clients think...
We decided to try out Spider after failing to attract the right person for a vacancy advertised on our website. Spider made the whole process really easy and were readily available to provide support. Spider were able to provide us with a wider range of candidates who had perhaps not considered working for us before. I’m pleased to say were able to successfully fill the post.
St Elizabeth Hospice
My first experience of using a recruitment service for a vacancy requiring specific skills went smoothly from start to finish. A simple, easy to follow process, supplied me with several candidates to choose from and most importantly, we found the right person for the position. I highly recommend Spider.
Electric Centre
I have used Spider for a number of years and every campaign has proven extremely cost effective and successful. The team behind the scenes provide amazing professional advice, guidance and support whilst the online portal makes the handling of applicants and communication with them a streamlined process. I would recommend using Spider to anyone looking to recruit.
TES 2000 Ltd
We’ve been a client of Spider for over two and a half years now and we are huge fans of the team and their services – we have many ‘Spiders’ amongst us now and expect there to be many more in the future! We are very happy to recommend Spider to anyone looking for a professional, knowledgeable and supportive service. Well done Spider, we love you – keep up the good work!
Smart Garden Offices
We used Spider for the recruitment of a senior board member, a very important role, often identified through executive search rather than advertising. The Spider model worked well, producing a good quantity of relevant and high-quality applicants. We had over 100 CVs, of which at least a third were strong contenders and a further third were considered seriously. We ended up recruiting a very strong candidate who promises to be a strong addition to the team.
P Tuckwell Ltd
Spider was recommended to us by someone we trust, and they were not wrong. It is easy and cost effective with a lot of support from the team.
