Corporate Account Handler – Ryan’s are one of the Country’s leading independent Chartered Insurance Brokers who work to the highest professional standards.  We are seeking an experienced Corporate Account Handler, with commercial insurance experience of handling non e-trade larger and more complex risks, to join our expanding Corporate team at our recently refurbished office in Ipswich.

As a Corporate Account Handler, you will have a broad range of commercial insurance knowledge and will service clients within in a number of products such as mid to large sized commercial combined risks, complex motor trade, Engineering and Professional risks – Professional indemnity / D&O.

Other Duties include:-

  • Working with Account Executives and Directors to manage your own portfolio of customers.
  • Responsible for renewals negotiations with insurers and some customers, changes in risks and claims notifications to the claims handling team.
  • Dealing with customers over the telephone and email with occasional visits to key accounts with the Account Executive.

The successful Corporate Account Handler will have

  • Excellent work ethic, customer service skills and essentially be a conscientious person who takes pride in what they do.
  • Approachability and friendly management style matters when it comes to the clients, so you will go above and beyond to ensure the job gets done, managing expectations at all times.
  • Good attention to detail, the work involves reviewing complex insurance contracts
  • Must be able to work under pressure and maintain a high quality of work
  • Records are managed using the Acturis commercial broking software.  Successful candidates will be IT literate and be able to adapt to use the system

A competitive salary is on offer depending on experience and part time hours will be considered for the right candidate. 21 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays) which increase each year up to maximum of 26 days. Insurance exams are supported both financially and with study time for those who are willing to study for professional qualifications.  Hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm with 30 minutes for lunch.
