General Assistant – Viking Nurseries Ltd are specialist growers of quality hardy nursery stock for the garden centre industry. We are currently looking for General Assistant(s) to join our team on a temporary basis, in our modern 30-acre site in Colton, Norwich, Norfolk, from 1st March 2019 to 30th November 2019. Accommodation will be provided if required. Experience within a nursery and working with plants would be preferred, however no experience is necessary as full training can be provided.

As a General Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Assisting with the production of plant stock from plant plus to point to sale.
  • Keeping stock in good order
  • Considerable amount of manual work – potting, pruning, weeding, and standing up of plants both inside and outside of the greenhouse environment

Candidates skills include:

  • Experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Successful applicants will have a good standard of English

This is a temporary assignment from 1st March 2019 to 30th November 2019. We are offering an hourly rate of £8 to £10 per hour depending on experience. Accommodation can be arranged if required.
